How do I make strong passwords I can remember?

Lesson 2 of 3 in Email And Passwords

Use a password manager, such as the Passwords app built into iPhone. It makes a strong, different password for every account and fills them in for you.

Why It Matters

Reusing one password means a single leak can open many accounts. A password manager means you only have to remember your iPhone passcode.

What To Do

  1. Open the Passwords app on your iPhone. On older iOS versions, look in Settings > Passwords.
  2. When a site asks you to make a password, accept the strong password your iPhone suggests.
  3. Check the Security section in the Passwords app for passwords that are reused, weak or leaked, and change those first.

Check your own home
