Vigil Learn › Your Wi-Fi And Router
Why does Vigil ask for my location?
iPhones only share the Wi-Fi name with apps that have location access. Vigil uses it to check your Wi-Fi lock and never stores or sends where you are.
Why It Matters
Without the Wi-Fi name, Vigil can't check how your Wi-Fi is locked, so that check would end up under What Couldn't Run.
What To Do
- When Vigil asks for your location, choose Allow While Using App.
- If you said no before, go to Settings > Apps > Vigil > Location. On older iOS versions, scroll down the main Settings list to Vigil.
- Set it to While Using the App, then run the checkup again.
